IAC 1987 5.7 iroc
Hello All,
I have a surging idle and tried to reset the IAC. Followed the procedures outlined but after installing the paper clip and unplugging the IAC connector then removing the paperclip the engine will not start without the pressing and holding the accelerator pedal. What's up with that?
Thanks for any help/input,

You probebly will have to turn the idle stop screw in a little so it will start. Turn it in quite as bit to get it to start, then back it out till you get down to the target of 4-500 rpm. It will barely run at that point.

Thanks guys! yes, it was up to temp. and that makes sense to bring the idle stop screw in it still has the factory cover on the set screw. Thanks again,
