Airfoil - holley vs the "usual"
Alright pretty finnicky question- marketing says 5hp, superchevy found 1.8hp (LT1) and in reality may be 0.18hp or even none. For beer money I'm fine with that. Most importantly - and what ultimately sold me - is the fact the larger aftermarket TBs all have them so the concept is solid. I'll only be doing filters, gutted airboxes but may as well.
Consensus says they're all the same so get the cheapest one.
Digging deeper though I see guys reco the bolt-in so that excludes JET's one. Ok so SLP, TPIS, Hypertech..ebay even has unbranded.
But then I find this one by Holley
Is it just me or does this one stand apart from the rest by extending further? The advice on this particular one threw some doubt on the »clip« vs the bolt-ins already mentioned.
Anyone run this particular one? Any worries with the clip? I imagine the last thing you'd want is it shimmying around even a bit and becoming a restriction. Other than that question I don't think elastomer vs alum. or steel matters..
Thanks!
