88 corvette No crank no start.
im getting fuel to the rails and full voltage from the battery to the starter solenoid. when i arc the solenoid it cranks but still doesn't get an ignition pulse.
i had just had the heads resurfaced and put everything back on. what else besides the VATS would cause a no crank situation?
I think the VATS was already bypassed cuz i looked under the dash and there's an aftermarket alarm in there. i know no one wants to touch the aftermarket alarm.
how do i test or get the ECM to send the injector pulse? what else can i test to determine why it won't crank?

Re: 88 corvette No crank no start.
Not sure about the corvettes, but the ground on the back of the passenger head is the ground used for the injectors. Our cars also have a 15 or 20 amp fuse next to the battery that is the ECM power that can cause no pulse. TPS reading too high i.e. WOT can cause a no pulse issue. Bad pickup coil in the distributor can cause no pulse. VATs can cause no pulse.
As for cranking, if you arc the terminals and it cranks than it seems you're not receiving a crank signal.
VATs does shut down both of these circuits, so I'm inclined to believe it is vats related. Verify if VATs has been bypassed, or if the aftermarket alarm is a piggy back on VATs or stand alone for the starting circuit.
