Newb issue

I’ve been reading about everyone’s MAF issues. So, I’ve been delaying doing any kind of cold air intake. But I was looking at my car, and there isn’t anything on the intake tube (from the filter to the intake) I can’t find any kind of sensors. I completely removed the entire assembly, and there is nothing there. What does that mean? Has it been removed? Thanks for any info.

What year is your car? 90-92 had MAP systems that do not use a MAF....

What kind of a cold air system are you thinking about?

Not sure yet. Just something with an open filter, and lighter/better looking than that stock unit. And the car is a 1992. Thanks for the info. So, would I need to worry about anything if u put a cold air intake on there?

Re: Newb issue

No, the Manifold Air Pressure sensor will tell the computer to add a bit more fuel, and as long a s you 've not made any other changes, you will probably not notice by the seat of your pants, but if you measure your performance, you should see a slight increase in power if it's a good system. The big change in adding a cold air system will be seen if you make other changes like exhaust and other breathing aids, but if you do that, you will need to re-program the computer.
