Occasional high idle with adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
I just got the correct injectors in my 91 305 TPI 100% stock now 19lbs and it seems to run flawlessly now. It used to have a high idle and pulse but now it's perfect. But sometimes after some driving my rpms will go up to around 1100 or so and stay there. No pulsing or bouncing. Is that just my fans coming on and the alternator producing a load? What should my rpms do under a load like that? How high? I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator that seems like it's perfect where it is but hasn't been adjusted since all fp gauges I tried leak really bad. Also don't know if minimum idle needs to be reset since it was set when it had 24 lb injectors. Also: don't know if it's normal for the rpms to gradually come down from 1k after stopping at a stop sign with the clutch in, comes down in about 5 seconds. Thanks for any answers!
