I have issues with error code 34 and is about to replace the maf power relay. Searching this city and a few others I got the impression that there should be 3 relays to the left of the brake booster on a 88 gta. 2 oval and 1 square.

The square one should be fuel pump, and the 2 oval ones, maf power and maf burnoff respectively...

However, on my car the square relay is marked "MAF power" in big red letters. What gives? Is the Internet wrong, or can you actually use a maf power relay from an older tpi car as fuel pump relay? 🤔

it would be nice if i somehow could verify that the square relay is indeed not the maf power relay, before I spend time and money on the wrong relay....

 

Maf power is the older non weatherpak relay iirc it’s marked on the top.
