TPI 350 problems

I have a 1992 rs Camaro, originally a v6 but has been swapped to a 5 speed tuned port injection 350. I’ve had the car for about 2 years now and it ran pretty good besides a few problems. A couple months ago it randomly started stalling and having idling issues. Sometimes it would idle really high and surge and sometimes it idles really low. I tried to get a code out of the engine but my ecm is not responsive. I’m pretty sure it has an aftermarket chip and I know for sure it doesn’t have a stock tune. I pulled the ecm out only to find that it has gunk all over it and I think a bunch of washer fluid leaked on to it. My question is what should I do? Replace the ecm and use the chip that is in the one I have? Or maybe the ecm isn’t even the problem at all?

Re: TPI 350 problems

The serv number is 01227730 and I jumped the a and b with a paper clip, I don’t have a scanner but I had don’t it once before and it worked. This last time I tried it, it wouldn’t give me any codes.

Re: TPI 350 problems

If you need a ecm let me know, if you don’t get a code 12 and liquid on the ecm is suspect it’s bad.

Re: TPI 350 problems

Awesome, would the chip that’s in my ecm right now work in a new one?
