88 l98 fuel issue

Cant seem to find a recent disscussion on this, i have zero fuel pressure at the rail. Took fuel filter off and zero fuel coming from there. Fuel pump is cycling. Any thoughts?

Re: 88 l98 fuel issue

Going to have to start tracing it back from the filter since you are not getting fuel there - check the tube going from the filter to the Fuel Pump Sending Unit tubes. if theres nothing coming out of the tank/sending unit, there is something wrong with it inside the tank - broken/rusted pickup tube internally or bad pump even though its cycling. I'm betting you will have to drop the tank to find out, since a leaking fuel line from the filter to the sending unit would be obvious with gas spilling out

Re: 88 l98 fuel issue

Someone on the FB page posted the same issue.

Probably a bad "connection" between the pump and sending unit pipe... guessing the pulsator or if it was changed, the hose line from pump to sending pipe. That needs special hose that wont deteriorate. .
