Injectors

I have an 87 TPI 5.7L. I was working on it the other day and noticed that all of the injectors have a fairly strong clicking when the engine is running. I can easily feel them click. One injector has a noticably weaker clicking, but it is still consistent. Could this be causing problems? I don't get any engine codes, but I do have some spark knock at higher RPM like at freeway speeds when I accelerate.

Re: Injectors

Can’t tell injector flow and condition off the audible sound of a click.
have you checked exhaust temp at the manifold on each cylinder with a infared gun ? Datalogged to see int/blm ? Read the spark plugs ?

Re: Injectors

Mine have clicked loudly enough to hear in the driver seat since 1986. They still do. I'm not sure if it's a problem, since they are only 39 years old.. If they don't make it to 50, I'll report back.
