Need help! Cruise Control not working!
Need help! Cruise Control not working!
Howdy everyone, I'm asking for a helping hand on this topic. My cruise control in my 91 Trans Am has quit working. I've already done some research into what could cause the issue. I checked that all the vacuum lines from the intake over to the vacuum canister are good and have vacuum when the engine is running. The servo seems to be working, and the cruise control was working a few months ago until I started driving the car about a week ago. I'm having a hard time tracking down the wiring for the switches on the brake pedal, and the clutch since I have a T5. All I've found so far is the thick vacuum hose that runs off a switch right next to the brake lamp switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Need help! Cruise Control not working!
When the cruise control is turned on there should be power at the cruise control module, gray wire, and at the brown wire if both the brake and clutch pedal switches are functioning (closed).
Is that what you are measuring? Since the multi-failure switch on the steering column is always suspect, that could be a good starting point.
