Could someone help me with this starter heat shield problem

I ordered this moroso Starter heat Shield, for my 87' 305 TPI motor, now before i ordered it from jeggs the salesperson told me it should bolt on with no problem, i mentioned that i have Edelbrock TES headers and im using a remanufactured starter, he still assured me that it should be no prob. As i took it to the shop, where the guy is finishing the small touches on my motor and he told me that that moroso heat shield wont fit, He said hes done it on other f-bodies and still wont fit and my best bet is to get a heatshield wrap cover. Has anyone ever used a heat shield by Moroso on their third gen??

They do not fit. Went to a mini-starter with my headers.

I went with a hi-torque mini-starter and heat wrap over the starter with my ZZ4TPI and 1 5/8" coated SLP headers. No problems at all. Never tried the heater shield.

Save yourself some misery and get a mini-starter.I battled heat-soak for way too long i.e. shields, thermo wrap, remote solenoids, ever since I installed headers. Finally coughed up $220 for a CSI piece and problem GONE. They`re lighter, unaffected by heat, have more cranking power using less battery and are so much smaller they`re cake to install.Worth it IMO
