I have the battery in the trunk of my 89 RS convt. Since I like to drag race at NHRA tracks I tried to keep it legal. I used the sealed Moroso battery box and a battery cut-off switch. I first ran the wires along the inner frame rails of my convertible but have since moved them to the interior. It's not an easy job to route the wires. You need to use the fattest (thickest gage) wire possible. It's a long run from the trunk to the starter.
