I went to put it on and the bolt holes were straight up and down instead of slanted like my heads. Here is a pic. Is this for an lt1 then?

Looks as if you've got an intake for an 85-86 engine, you'll need to take it to a machine shop to get the bolt holes modified to fit 87+ heads. Not a big deal.

Or give me a good deal on that intake to help fund the proper one for your car.

The manifold you have pictured is Accel part number 74197L. It will only fit LT1's. It was manufactured by Accel to allow the use of the SuperRam plenum/runner kit on the LT1 engines.

If it's an LT1 intake, why is there a spot for a thermostat?

Looks more to me like its been welded up where the holes are supposed to be for the SBC heads. Why, I dunno. Its certainly not 85-86 style, center holes are too far apart.

When the manifold was shipped new from Accel, it included a block off plate for the thermostat. It was easier for them to manufacture it from the same molds as the 74197 than to make an entire new mold. It has not been welded and redrilled. It was cast that way from the factory. Trust me, I've sold TONS of them.
