Anybody got pics of their polished Plenum or runners?

I'm thinking about polishing my plenum as described in the tech forum......just wondering what a finished product would look like......thanks

Dave, is that the result of you polishing it yourself like in the tech article, or did you do it some other way?

I polished mine with a prep pad and that SOS material stuff, I cant think of what its called right now and my runner look just like those in the pic

wowowowowow! nice motor. i'm building a 355 tpi engine right now. what heads are you using. i'm going with the sportsman 2's and the lt4 hotcam. i'm thinking about getting those runners. how hard is it to polish the runners and plenum>? nice motor! i can't wait to get a pic of mine when its complete.

So you guys got your TPIs looking like that by using the aluminum restorer, polish, sandpaper and such, or at least something like it?? It that's the case, it's worth it IMO.

What I did was take a belt sander and sanded off all the casting, then took a wire brush attached to a drill and smoothed it all out then started with 600 grit and wetsanded by hand to take all the scratches down, then used 2000 grit to get it smooth, no scratches, then uses Mothers aluminum polish to finish it off.

one tip, don't do your intake. it is one hard **** to polish. I wish I hadn't started it, hopefully it will be worth it when it is done.
