89 Formula

Hey guys, I'm new to the V8 board. But very well known in the V6 and apperance boards. Anyways, my buddy wants to get rid of his 89 Formula TPI 305ci. Brand new paint, T-Tops, WS6 suspension, UD pulleys, headers, fiberglass cowl hood and wants $2500 what you guys think should I take it. I already got a firebird V6 which I love but it would be nice to have twon birds you know.

How many Km? How does the inside look.? How does the engine sound? Any rust?

IMO it is a good price if the car in in a decent shape.

the car is almost mint, 90,000 miles, no rust at all. Runs perfect and strong.

buy it AS FAST AS YOUR V6 CAN TAKE YOU TO THE BANK!!

hehe...

That is a steal, for a car in that shape, with those low miles (for an 89, it's low, at least)

Wow, I didn't think I would get a reply now. I posted that liek last year almost i think. And yeah I did buy that formula its a awesoem car and i love it. It soudns like the rear end is going, so I got a rear end lined up from a 91GTA 350TPI its the 3.23 rear end. I expect alot from that after its put in, I should get alot more torque out of the car. And I plan on also putting new headers, and complete flowmaster all the way through with a high flow cat.

Doh...my bad. I dug that up in something I was searching for. I looked at the date before replying, and thought it was only a couple days old thread...i didn't notice the "2002" part of the date.

that car is almost a duplicate of mine. Mine's an 89 formula, 305 TPI, automatic, WS6.

I upgraded from 2.73's to 3.23's about a year ago. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the new gears, until it's time to buy tires
