Anyone ever switch from a stock tpi to a miniram & notice a BIG diference in performance? 1\4 Times with before & after results if u have them would be appreciated. Mostly stock 350 tpi motors cam, headers, free mods, & chips. No Heads, Super high duration cams Etc.
Do u think that buying this intake is a better idea than buying the heads first? It seems to me that buying the High flow lower intake, High flow runners & porting the stock plenum just doesnt make any since for the price!
thanx in advance

I've wondered the same thing about the Vortec manifold from SDPC.Seems some people have them, but I've never seen any real performance numbers on that manifold.
Maybe I was sick that day.

i think someone already has done this swap but hasn't posted or i was asleep. i would assume minimal gains from just the intake swap alone. being that the l98 cam was not designed for optimal performance in the rpm range that the miniram shows good gains in. swapping the intake and a nice cam will help. then again there are the heads that become the restriction.

putting a Miniram on a relatively stock L98 is pointless. the miniram puts the power band higher up in the RPMS. If the heads and cam can't support or maker power at higher RPMs then its all for nothing. I'd do a nice set of heads, maybe find an aftermarket base cheap, port the plenum and get runners, or hog out the stock ones.
