hey guys i'm new to the tpi board!
Hey, i just purchased a 1987 z-28 with a stock 305 tpi motor, does anyone know what the stock hp ratings? and I'm assuming it's has the standard 2.73 gears but do i have a open end or posi? My previous camaro was TBI so i'm pretty lost when it comes to TPI. Is it still the same concept? exhaust, gears, cam and heads? I'm lost. Thanks in advance for the help. Mike

First let me welcome you to third Gen.In 87
the Iroc-Z with the 30 TPI motor was rated
at 190hp whitch is down from the 215 it was
rated in 85.They changed to a smaller cam.If
you look in your armrest there should be a
build sheet.(a sticker with the option codes on it)
If it's not there look in the storage box in the
hatch area.look for code G80 thats the posi code,
then look for G92 thats the performance rear code
it also came with 4 wheel disk brakes.Only 10,533
Iroc-Z's came with that G92 option.I hope this helped
