I was thinking about installing a LT1 cam in my '89 Iroc 305HO (LB9), I was wondering what the best way of doing this is if the engine is still in the car, and if I need to replace any other parts when installing the new cam? Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Are you putting the LT1 cam in because you already have one or can get one cheap? If not, get a cam made for your combo. When you replace the cam put in a new timing chain and gear set.

 

I'm gettin one for pretty cheap so that's why I'm doing a LT1 cam. would another cam fit my combo a lot better for under or close to $50 bucks?
