What "Desert86Roc" said is correct. Also when you change your injectors you do no need to replace the Cold Start Injector, it is a waste of money.
I've heard a lot about cold start injectors leaking and causing problems (could be my problem). If I'm going to the trouble of replacing all the other injectors I figure I'd rather be safe than sorry. Where can I find a replacement?
Rich at CruzinPerformance may be able to help you out if you insist on changing the injector.
However, I recommend having a custom EPROM burned using 89 era code, and eliminate the whole dang thing. Best thing I ever did to my fuel system. Completely solved my cold/warm start problems. Later TPIs use a fuel enrichment program instead of the mechanical "switch" for the CSI. You can then remove the Cold Start switch (in front of the manifold), the cold start injector, the fuel line to the rear of the fuel rail, and plug then plug the holes. I plugged the hole in the runners with an aluminum "slug". I didnt want to waste the fuel rail fitting, so I had half of a 4AN fitting welded onto the back of the stock fuel rail fitting and use it for my fuel pressure gauge sending unit.
Benefits:
- 2 less things to go wrong with your fuel setup (leaks, breaks)
- Cleaner looking engine (less plumbing)
- later (better) EPROM coding
