Car smoking

Ok my car has had this problem for i while and i can't figure it out. It has a puff of white smoke when i first start it or if it sits and runs at an idle for a couple of minutes and then when i hit the gas. Everyone tells me it gas smoke. I want to fix it but i don't know whats causing it.

Any suggestions are appreciated i need to do something about it because it looks bad.

Gas smoke! LMFAO!!! Its your valve seals most likely. Plan a minor engine rebuild in the future where you take the heads off and have them gone over and what not. Its your valve seals brutha!

if its white its means antifreeze, a blue/grey smoke would be oil, real black and sooty would be gas but thats running really rich and you would smell that instantly

if its white smoke it's your coolant , water, antifreeze. it really cant be anything els , you might have a crack in the head gasket near one of the water jackets.

it only takes a little ammount of water to make a lot of smoke, had a small ammount of water/antifreeze splash into the exhaust of a car I worked in when doing an R/R of the engine and it smoked for almost 10 minutes, other than the smell would have thought I was doing a helluva burn out!

I just put a different intake on it a while back can the intake gasket cause it. Or would that just let it get in the oil. And i just checked my water which i havn't done in about 3 months and it was a half a gallon low.
