HELP! whats the best posi unit for7.5"?
aurban, eaton,GM factory, Zexel Torsen? which is stronger? what are the pros and cons of each? which are rebuildable? This is for a 28 spline(1992 Z28 3.23's). will one out of a 4th gen work? I think the only difference is the ABS ring..right?

For the best !4$ (that's bang for your buck if you don't understand that kind of lingo), it's hard to beat the takeoff Torsen from SLP. It'll work just fine.
BTW, you should have a 7.625" ring gear.

the absolute strongest I think would be the power-trax. I believe its only for open diff. though. Its like a locker. The Zexel unit is strong but don't let one of those worm gears break or else you won't go home.

The auburn is a good unit. I've been seriously beating mine...
for many years and it held up... still spinning 2 tires... Drawbacks are price and un-rebuildability. Pro's are mine still working, it quiet and is rain and snow friendly. (In turns too..)

I'll vote for the powertrax, mines been in for 5-6 years without any problems. I recorded a video/sound, to post the light clicking sound in parking lot short turns, but the sound wouldn't show up. You can't get better than a locker for straight line traction. You can get an open carrier if needed from a junkyard for cheap, even deep gears if you want to go that route. However, it isn't limited slip(posi)--you asked about the best posi unit.
