TC Lockup switch

I am thinking about installing a lockup switch on my car. I know this may sound really stupid but how do you use it? I know flip the switch (sorry I just know someone would have said to flip the switch). What I mean is when do you engage and disengage the switch?

From what I have read you can turn it on at any time becuase the TC will not lock up in first no matter what. It makes for some real hard shifts but it will break stuff realy quickly if you continuosly us it. You may pick up a .1 in the quater.

I would skip the brake switch setup. The aftermarket TCI kit doesn't use anything with the brake switch. As you slow down the tranny will continue to downshift until it's first gear, where the converter can never be locked anyway. The simpliest way would be to find the ground that goes to the tranny and put a switch on it so that when the switch was on the wire is grounded to good ground bolt under the dash. The 700r4's I've seen have a constant 12V to the tranny when the ignition is on and the ground is switched on and off by the computer or other means.
