right now WOT shifts are fine, its just when i put very low throttle the car will not shift until past 3000 RPMs. I think i know the problem, there is a lot of slack in my TV cable, so under very low throttle the cable is not even moving with the linkage. How do i get rid of this slack. There is that little black piece that the TV cable is connected to on the throttle linkage and the cable is sticking out the back of it, this has to be the problem.
I wanted to adjust the cable because my car shifted alittle early before (around 1500RPM) under low throttle and under high throttle it shifted too soft, and i figured, what the hell, im already working on my car, why not just adjust it when it is convenient.

Nope....I adjusted the black tube so that i would no longer have any slack in the cable, but it still shifts the same. It shifts at 3000 RPM also when i give it half throttle but it still shifts at 3000 RPM under the lowest throttle i can give it, like it is stuck in first until 3000+. Can anyone help
If there is slack then the failsafe checkball is probably kicking in causing late shift but I would expect it to act as if it were at WOT all the time. There should not be much in the line of slack if you followed my procedure. Not that it will be tight but not loose.

The shift points are all the same, WOT, part throttle, light throttle....it is constantly shifting at about 2700-3000 RPM. Before this, the car would shift above 4000 at WOT. I dont understand what is wrong, what else could be the problem. How can i get the slack out of the line and how can i fix this. THANKS

Also, when i tried to adjust the cable the first time, i must not have read the direction right and when i had someone floor the pedal, pressed the D button and actually pulled on the cable itself and not the black tube, could this have been the problem?
