My camaro is in the shop so I've been driving my 89 Hyundai Excel. It's an automatic, but it won't go into reverse. Well, it goes into it, but when I give it gas it just revs up a little and doesn't move. I thought something in the linkage was messed up because when I put it in neutral it acts like it's in drive, but everything looks fine. Any idea what could be gonig on? Thanks

 

Does it sound like you are power braking if you rev it in Park? If so then the Forward Clutch is welded together.
