I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!and im giving in ;(

well i have had it with my tranny problems....first i thought i had a broken TV cable on the 700r4, it wouldnt adjust properly.. id push the tab, slide it back then put it at WOT,,,wouldnt ratchet..so i had to adjust it one click at a time till i got it to where i liked it...but NEVER got it to where the trranny would shift good at WOT in OD.....so tonight i put on a new TV cable...went to adjust it...SAME FRICKIN THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no ratchinging...so i adjust it one click at a time and i cant get it close to shifting right. so i desided to take my baby to the tranny shop. i wonder if they can figure out whats wrong, i guess well see. wish me luck!

Well, take off the air cleaner and sit in the car and mash the gas pedel. Have someone check both the pri. and sec. for WOT. Make sure the floor mate isn't in the way. Just a thought??

That trans will never shift into overdrive @ WOT.
EVER.... You have to let up on the gas.

The "corvette"/ "copcar" sleeve that you can buy
will only allow you to stay in overdrive
at a lower speed/ lower petal position than a stock sleeve.
85% of full throttle @ high road speed Before Kick down occurs. and is still affected by your governor. I recomment a 4500rpm gov for best results.
Get over it. Over drive is not for WOT acceleration.

Adjust your TV cable to get full TV valve depression @ full throttle
and leave it there before you smoke the transmission.

i know that it wont go into OD under WOT, i mean the 1st to second shift is worse than a golf cart. my moms caprice shifts better than my car. 2nd to 3rd is weird to, the rpms like to jump back and forth, then when you let up to go in OD,,,you dont feel it shift at all!

Than drive your mother's caprice.

seriously: What are you trying to achieve? Besides destroying your transmission.

You have a mild 350 in a heavy car with no gear.

What are you expecting?

If you "Feel nothing" when your transmission shifts, then it is working as designed. If you want to tighten up the shift feel
and make your trans last longer, you can install a "Shift Kit"
and a few heavy duty parts. Like a corvette servo, boost valve
and a trans cooler with a TransGo Shift kit.

You do not want a "BANG SHIFT".. It will just cost you money>>.
