home made short throw shifter
as some may know i am putting a t5 in my car, i don't have the money to spend on a short throw, so could i just cut the factory shifter down so its not so long and get a similar advantage???
or would it not be worth my time
also if anyone has a stock flywheel to fit a 2 piece rear seal engine send me a message,
i am not having good luck with this, one got lost in the mail
, the second one i found, i got the money order back address unknown

Cutting the shifter down doesn't make it a short throw shifter. To make a short throw shifter you need to raise the pivot point of the shifter. This way the bottom portion in the shift rails still moves the same distance but the top part that you grab onto moves a shorter distance.

right i realize the pivot is different, it just seems to me that the shifter is gonna be stickin WAY up outta the console when i get this finished and i really don't want that, but i guess i'll live with it,
