help 2nd gear started slipping

I rebuilt my turbo 350 2 weeks ago and it has worked great until today. I came home from work and jumped in it and when it shifted into 2nd it went to neutral, but when I let off the gas some it goes back in. It shifts fine and 1 and 3 work great. I can drive it if I give it no more than 1/3 throttle and 2nd does fine. I checked the govenor and the 1-2 piston on the side of the tranny but is there a valve stuck or something?? Please help, I hope I don't have to pull it back out.

Not sounding too promissing. Did you use metal or Teflon rings on the 2nd Accumulator (on side)? How was the bore for the Accumulator? Was it scored from a previous broken spring (common)?

Damn I am stupid.. When I put the valve body back on, one of the pins that holds the 2-3 or 1-2 shift valves in (i can't remember which it is, its the center valve on the side of valve body), fell out and I didn't know it. I pulled the pan off and there was a pin laying there and the valve was sticking out 1/2 in out of the body.

Anyway it works great now after I fixed the valve.
