i am swapping out my 3.1L v6 for a 350 (and later on a 400), and i was looking for some opinions on transmissions. the transmissions i am considering are 2 automatics, and 2 manuals .... TH350, 700R4 .... T56, or richmond 6 speed. if i go with the automatic im going to put a ratchet shifter on there, but im just looking for everyones opinion on what they would do. this is going to be a daily driver. some people tell me that i will go through clutches like no tomorrow with the manuals with city driving. any opinions are gladly welcomed. thanks.

 

doh .... in the poll i accidently put 70054 ... thats suppose to be 700r4... sorry.

 

if you plan on going to a 400 later on,my personal choice would be a TH-400 for several reasons,one of such being it will hold up longer with a larger engine,with strength to spare if you do more mods to the engine in the future
