pump seal leak Question

pump seal leak Question

I have a leak either from my stall converter or my pump seal area from a recently new transmission i installed. What would cause a leak from this area?

Car: 86 firebird with 98 firebird interi

Engine: pump gas 427sbc Dart Lil M 13.5:1

Transmission: Oldani TH400 w/ BTE 9" convertor

Axle/Gears: 31 spline Moser/full spool/4.11Rich

Might not have lubed snub on convertor before install and possibly nicked front seal. When they reinstalled the pump might not have got it to seat correctly, not torqued right, possible crack in pump or housing.
