1400 for t-56 and everythign needed
hey guys i was just lookin on thirdgenresource and i found that they sell t-56 6-speed trans with the bellhouseing, clutch, pressureplate, flywheel, slave cyl. , master cyl. and even pedels.
now form wut i have heard and seen this is an amazing deal. am i correct? also i have a t-5 in my car so i woudln;t need the pedels or master cyl. right?? thanks

I was thinking of buying that one, but decided I would rather have a built 700R4 for that price rather than a stock OEM 6 speed out of transam with miles on it.

Most of the kits I've seen go for about 1500, so thats a decent price. You can find them cheaper than that though, I got mine for 1300. Since you already have a T5, you won't need the pedals, but you will need the clutch hydraulics. You are also going to need a tranny crossmember, and if you have an electric speedo, a signal conversion box from dakota digital. If its mechanical, I'm not sure how to set that up.

good price, but they (thirdgenresource) rarely have that kind of stuff in stock................call them

If I was gonna do the swap I would just buy a complete LT1 car that has been wrecked. Ive seen lt1 cars with as low as 60k miles go for 2000 dollars here. You could probably take the tranny and still make your money back. Im sure a 60k lt1 is worth about a grand to someone.
