I was thinking of buying that one, but decided I would rather have a built 700R4 for that price rather than a stock OEM 6 speed out of transam with miles on it.

Yeah its a good deal but for that price, like i said, 700R4... Built to the max...

Most of the kits I've seen go for about 1500, so thats a decent price. You can find them cheaper than that though, I got mine for 1300. Since you already have a T5, you won't need the pedals, but you will need the clutch hydraulics. You are also going to need a tranny crossmember, and if you have an electric speedo, a signal conversion box from dakota digital. If its mechanical, I'm not sure how to set that up.

Don't you need a new crossmember also?

Manual Swap

Where are some places where you can buy conversion kits? I've called Third Gen Resource and they are always out of stock. Where should I look?

If I was gonna do the swap I would just buy a complete LT1 car that has been wrecked. Ive seen lt1 cars with as low as 60k miles go for 2000 dollars here. You could probably take the tranny and still make your money back. Im sure a 60k lt1 is worth about a grand to someone.
