350 tranny swap

What are people doing about the torque arm mount when they swap to a 350 tranny from a 700r4?

I take it we have to change shifters also...

i dont think you can swap tails due to speedo gear location differences plus cant guarantee the 4 bolt holes align from 700 to 350, if they did then id think theres no point in B&M having bracket for this

good luck

i think hes talking about changing the tail shaft on the th350 from 6" to 9", i don't know if you can but it will save you from buying a new driveshaft. i used the b&m kit for awhile but if you are making some power i'd go with the spohn or bmr setup. with the arm bolted to the back of the tranny my drivetrain flexed so much on shifting that the front u-joint was hitting the tunnel. you can use the stock shifter but the letters might not match up , do it by feel.

hmmm...

I've been wondering about that mark above that ujoint. Hell, I never thought about that dude flexing that much. The ole 408 does have some torque now.

Say Summit or sombody does have a kit torque arm kit that you can put a torque arm mount on a 350 tranny though...
