T5->700r4 changeover - only 2 problems left..
Almost there! '91Z 305: factory T5 was swapped to 700r4 by previous owner.
1. No reverse lights. Bulbs are fine. The white reverse wire on my B&M shifter grounds out OK when reverse is selected. 2 yel and 2 wht wires go from the shifter somewhere into the engine compartment. The manual says that an auto car would have a neutral switch controlling the backup lights and on manual there's a seperate switch on the trans (which i doubt was plugged into the current automatic). What needs to be done here?
2. No Cruise Control, no response at all. Speedometer works properly. I've put the correct stock Prom from an '91z auto in, car runs fine. The manual says that the manual trans setup would have a release switch that activates when the clutch is depressed. I'm not sure where that switch is at (as i didn't do the changeover) or if it's even what's preventing the CC to engage. I'm thinking because the Prom is for an auto it might even bypass that switch altogether? Not sure where to start..
Any ideas or plans of attack would be most helpfull!!
thanks!!!
