drum to disc questons

drum to disc questons

i was at the salvage yard tday and came across a podi disc rear for my car i was wandering what i will need off the car to be able to convert my drum to the disc.thanks.

it'd help if you said what sort of car you had and what the bone yard rear was out of. if you have the right sort of car and the rear came out of the right sort of car it might be a dorect bolt in.

i have an 87 camaro sport coupe , the car im gettint this rear out of is between 85-90 trans am.

yes it is a direct bolt in.

when you pull the rear out of the parts car, try to save the e-brake cables as they are different from the drum ones. other than that, you shouldnt need anything else. i hear people say you dont need the proportioning valve, but i put one in when i did my swap.

if the gear ratio is different you may need a new speedo gear for your tranny.
