theres speedautomotive they have a kit selling for 1500 with almost everything you need to convert it (still need the crossmember). The only problem I have with them is that...I have been waiting over a MONTH for mines. I paid them and everything but am still waiting for it to come in. They told me that they shipped it out but that was almost 3 weeks ago. They told me that they were gonna truck it to california (should only take about a week?) then they would fly it down to hawaii (that would be about 4 days tops) but yet I'm still here with no trans. Maybe it wont be so bad for you since you live on the mainland. But for me...I'm out 1,500...I have to call them again on monday to see whats up...cause damn...over a month

If you're willing to take a drive up to the philly area:
http://www.contemporarycorvette.com
I was going to buy my T56 from these guys, but the project got scrapped. Since then I've bought smaller parts from them and they've been helpful. They sell everything needed from a donor car (4th gen or Corvette) for about $1300, but the prices vary according to the milage on the donor car.
I don't know how well this type of place would suit you, but they at least have what you're looking for. Feel free to ask me if you need some more info on the place.

I got mine from http://www.hpsalvage.com/
Decent price, seems like a good guy to deal with. There are better prices available, but nobody had any when I was looking.
