Hey!
I've finally gotten some pics of my car scanned, and I've posted some threads elsewhere with other pics, but here are a couple related to the T-56 swap!
Here's the bellhousing and Centerforce Dual Friction clutch as viewed from underneath

Here's the tranny and Hurst Billet Plus shifter waiting to go in, notice the car on stands in the background

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the enthusiasm SpeedJunkie! Unfortunately I didn't document the swap with pictures as well as I would have liked to, but I do have some other pictures that I will try and scan, a lot if it is really the same as the T-5 setup, except the slave goes in different, etc. it's really an awesome setup, it was incredibly easy to put together, no worries about clutch fork being on the ball stud or anything. I'll get some other pics up, and when I'm home from school for spring break I'll see about taking some new ones too

Thanks Md, one thing I'll take this opportunity to point out about the T-56 setup is the clutch fork arrangement. If you look at the above pics you'll notice that the fork is attached to the front of the tranny, and that the bellhousing has an opening so that the fork stays right on the tranny when you install it. The beauty part is that you can pop the fork off of the stud and it doesn't fall off unless you unbolt the stud from the tranny. This allows the fork to slide down so as to clear the t/o bearing, and once the tranny is bolted up all you do is reach in with a couple fingers and pop the fork back onto the stud....VOILA! no worries about wheather the clutch fork stayed in place while you installed the tranny. I absolutely loved the tranny install! It was a breeze with me and one other guy (the guy who helped me build the motor actually) Anyway, I suppose that's enough babbling from me, but seriously if anybody has any T-56 questions feel free to ask and I'll try and answer them as best I can! Keep the comments coming! (positive or negative

I love my T-56 too! I did the swap myself and it was a blast. It isnt very hard is it. Its actually quite simple. Just get all the right parts and in no time your ripping through 6 gears.:lala:

Yes indeedie, I sure do love the 6 speed. It's great in my '84 and I love it in my dad's '00 TA as well!
I can't wait for spring break and summer when I'm home from college so I can DRIVE!!!!!!!!! (and work on my car...as always
) The conversion was a breeze, much easier than I anticipated, although if you were going from an auto tranny it'd take a little more work, but not all that bad. I converted my '69 GTO to a 4 speed manual from auto and it was really relatively easy
