I was looking into switching out a R4 (that would need to be rebuilt anyway) with a t-56 or a t-5. How doable is this swap? Is there anything special i need to know?

thanks Scott, you saved me some time. I did this swap last year and it want that bad overall. The hardest part was putting that damn tranny in on my back by myself. Since you have an A4, you wil need to do a few extra steps then I had to do. This wont be a weekend swap either.it will take a little longer then that if your like me and do everything by yourself.

 

I just removed my auto trans by myself in less than 3 hours... :lala:
