Autometer Speedometer T-56
I am going to be doing the T-56 conversion soon on my 88 IROC-Z. I am getting the tranny out of a 95 Camaro. Anyways, i was reading somewhere you have to buy some special box, in order to get the speedometer to work? If I buy The Autometer Speedometer Electric version, will i still need to buy this thing? Or is that if you plan on using the stock dash?

im having the same problem. the t56 has an electric output whereas the IROC will have an analog (mechanical driven) speedo. if you get the electronic speedo , it should work but i believe it will be inaccurate, i think you need to get a product from Dakota Digital to make it accurate. this is my understanding of it all. hope it helps somewhat.

From what I remember, the T-56 transmits a VVS signal, which the auto meter speedo will work with. So you will not need the Dakota Digital box.
This is the box you were refering to. http://www.dakotadigital.com/Detail....rtNumber=SGI-5
