just paid 140$ for a drive shaft out of a 99 TA sh** head just put it in box and stuck it in the mail no bubble wrap,nothing box shows up broken open and shaft now has a big nick on it anyone need a 140$ aluminum ls1 paper wieght

If its still got good balance, it should be fine. If you are worried about it, there are shops around that can balance it for you. I know around here there is at least on shop that made a custom length driveshaft for an '80 TA fitted with a 454 BBC, so there must be shops that can check that 'shaft for you.

A nick in the yoke isn't going to hurt it. A dent will hurt the tubing the shaft is made out of. Get it balanced and run it.

I appreciate the input it just pisses me off you think for the money the the guy could have packaged it better.

That's nothing. I've helped guys cut and shorten driveshafts.. a little knick in the yoke is nothing to worry about. Even if it does cause a problem (which I doubt it will), you can always repair and machine it yourself if you know how, or take it to a machine shop to fix it.
All worked up over nothing! I could see your concern it if was a dent in the tube. I see no problems, just get it ballanced and run it. The yokes are pretty solid so you wont' have any problems. I know how you feel about it though, I would be pissed off too.
