Will a 3-speed 200 trans from a 1983 V6 firebird bolt up to a V8?

I think you can buy a bellhousing converter plate, but the engine will destroy the trans before you get to enjoy it. Don't bother.

sorry pal, I'd try a junk yard for a good condition (well, for junk-yard selection) TH350 or a 700R4(especially this one BECAUSE it has automatic overdrive) you can usually get one for UNDER $ 70... I've had VERY good luck with 2 seperate junk-yard tranny's in to seperate cars.. I DID GET A cheap rebuild kit for both though... AND WOULD SERIOUSLY RECOMEND IT
Good Luck
