I have a B&M shifter and it doesnt seem to shift into the gears smoothly, How do I adjust it, or should I take it to an expert? Also I noticed sometimes when I am parked on a hill, if the front end is facing down hill, the parking brake wont hold the car there, but if the back faces down hill, It will?

 

I don't know about the shifter but I can help with the brake q. If you've got drum rear brakes they hold differently depending on the forces. They are designed to stop the car from rolling forward, they are less effective when they are trying to keep it from rolling backwards. At least that's the way mine works, yours appears to be the reverse.
