Here is their website. www.actperformance.com

I bought mine through pro-built and its a damn good converter. You will not be dissapointed if you get one. Also go to pro-builts website, get the number and call and talk to Dana. He can get you the converter for $545.00

Here, I will make it even easier for you. Dana is very busy buildings some great transmissions. Here is his number. Give him a call at 1-800-776-3288. I have always been able to reach him after 3:00 EST. I would also call and talk to someone from MidWest Converters(not sure of the number). www.raceconverters.com MidWest is pretty new but there converters are some of the bests available from what I have heard. I've got one sitting in my garage right now waiting to go into my Pro-Built 700R4 once it arrives.

Everybody in the torque converter business uses the back half (pump) from some existing torque converter.
(1) A.C.T., Precision Industries, Yank, use the TH125. (9.5")
(2) Art Carr, TCI, A-1, use the Pinto. (9.5")
(3) Pro Torque, uses the Mazda. (10")
This information is for the 9.5" or 10" lockups. The cover on most of these torque converters is from Sonnax, with the exception of Precision Industries (they make their own) the back half (pump) is of their choice.

That sheds a bit more light on it...

Apparently the ACT is a bit more than a "reworked stock Pinto" convertor.

Thanks for the input Dana...

ACT CONVERTERS

YOU CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AT (818) 785 - 7574
IF YOU WANT TO ORDER A CONVERTER , YOU WOULD HAVE
TO DO SO , THROUGH DANA
I DO NOT USE A PINTO CONVERTER TO BUILD A CONVERTER.
I START WITH A TH125 CONVERTER
IF YOU ORDER A MAG SERIES , THEN YOU GET A FORGED COVER THAT I PURCHASE FROM SONNAX .
IF YOU ORDER A MAG 9.5 SERRIES THEN YOU GET A CONVERTER WITH MACHINED RING FITTED ON TO THE CONVERTER , TO FIT YOUR APPLICATION , WITH BALLONING PLATES.
IF YOU ORDER A MAG 10 , THEN YOU GET THE SAME CONVERTER AS THE MAG 9.5 SERIES , WITH OUT THE BALOONING PLATES INCORPORATED TO THE CONVERTER
ALL MY CONVERTERS ARE FURNUCE BRAISED AND HAND BRAISED/ ELECTRONICALLY BALLANCED
ALL MY RESEARCH ON CONVERTERS ARE BASED OF MY 87 BUICK GN / TWIN TURBO MAKING 950HP TO THE WHEELS WITH A LAP TOP TO READ THE DIF IN RPM OFF THE FLYWHEEL AND THE DIF .
THIS TELLS ME THE SLIPPAGE PERCENTAGE , THIS ALLOWS ME TO COME WITH DIF COMBINATIONS IN BETWEEN PUMPS AND STATORS AND LEARN IN REAL ACTION WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR VEHICULE
THANKS
SAL
