Just called them about buying an entire tranny from them. They say that it comes with the 9310 High Nickel Steel shaft, and they'll rate it for the 600 HP.
I got thier info in the mail too. But they say no warranty- so I don't know...

Yeah, more info please. I'd love to go manual, but if its a $2,500 swap then I'll spend about $2000 on a Pro-built 700r4, and a new stall.

Well, I'm no expert, but I would imagine that until 600 or so hp it's the gears, then after that it must be the case.

For $1945 you can get a new T56...course it probably isn't good for 600 hp. And does "streetable" mean not for racing?

I think T56's are good to about 450 hp or so. Streetable means a car with drag radials and a moderate clutch pushing 600 flywheel hp. Basically they're saying it's not a full out racing tranny (although they do have tranny's for that). It's more for street/strip use, but it can handle some decent power. You can use it for racing, but it's not reccomended for a dedicated drag car with slicks putting out some good power. For those cars they have trannys that can handle like 1000hp or something crazy like that.
