question about shift kit

on the transgo kit, it talks about full manual and stuff
and i know 1=1 2=2 and D=3 and then (d)= 4
but since our trannys (700r4) come with a kickdown thing, saying more than 1/3 throttle kicks it down from 4 to 3, how would it work with a full manual shift kit?
would it take it from (d) and just kick it to 3rd anyways?

Full manual means the transmission goes into and stays in the gear you have the shifter in. No kick-down.

Yeah, full manual is only for the track. On the street it would be misery.

i decided to go semi-auto/semi-manual with the kit
i didnt know it acted like a manual when you were in 1 or 2 and you can hold it to any rpm. yea, i was considering manual, but i know id leave it in 3 or something to start out from a stop or something stupid
