T56 hard to shift during hot days
Hi everyone-
Does anyone know the answer to this:
When it is about 90 degrees outside and the motor temp is 220f,
in crawling traffic the t56 gets real notchy shifting from neutral into 1st. sitting still. Once in 1st, real notchy going into second at any rpm. Takes a firm hand to shift solidly.
My fluid is new and at level. The fluid is non race type dextron III
Can I switch to different fluid for remedy?
This only happens when the tranny is hot.
