Car: 84 Firebird Trans Am
Engine: 305 4bbl HO
Transmission: 700-R4, 3.73 rear
84 3.73 Rear
i have an 84 TA with the 3.73 rear end and i doubt it's posi (one wheel burn) well the ? is what posi gears should i look for and i don't get the 9,10, 12 ect bolt rear ends. and can i JUST get the posi gears or a new rear end?

you can replace the carrier with a new unit if you wish, or the entire rear if you want. only thing to watch is the spline count on the axles. the 9, 10, and 12 bolt refers to the number of bolts on the rear cover.
