Th-350 Driveshaft dimensions needed...

Im sizing down a driveshaft. Originally the car has a 700R4 transmission and Im going over to a TH-350 short shaft (6" tailshaft) and I need the exact dimensions from a 82 200C driveshaft center to center (meaning center of u-joint to joint) so I can fit this up Im pretty sure its supposed to be 45" but any help willl be greatly appreciated. If you guys could give me a perfect measurement center to center

why don't you just get under your car and measure what you have? a th350 w/9" tail shaft is direct swap for t5 and 700r4s.

well to be perfectly honest with ya there isnt even a driveshaft underneath the car. i parted out the tranny and driveshaft to a buddy with a 86 Firebird. The tranny blew up and he wanted the overdrive the 700R4 couldnt handle the power of my 355. Otherwise I would measure Im just sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place. I know the 9" tailshaft is a direct swap but its a short shaft 350 not a 9". If anyone can pull through with the dimensions I would really appreciate it thank you.

there's 3" differance between short and long shaft th350s, so you'd need stock length + 3". sorry i don't know the stock length.

yea thats the part i know about the 3" difference and its killing me cuz i need the exact measurement from the center of the u-joint. thanks for the help though ede i really havent been a frequent user of this site but i think that this is the only good place on the net for third generation camaros and firebirds (theres a couple out there that are absolute jokes). if anyone else has any information on the driveshaft length send it this way.

44 and 11/16ths of an inch.

45 is probably close enough.

BTW I have one that I don't need now.
