Borg Warner Owners - Great Deal!

THE BEST BORG WARNER 9 BOLT PARTS PRICING

Just got off the phone with Karonlina at Randy's Ring & Pinion, she is working up a special deal for all thirdgen.org members on 3.73 (and other) gear sets, installation kits, seals and axle bearings. Contact her directly to purchase these parts and she'll provide you with all the information and specific prices.

I received everything for right at $400.00 (3.73 gears, installation kit, axle bearings and seals).

Her email address: karolinam@ringpinion.com
Phone: 1800-347-1188 EXT. 5571

Make sure you mention you are a member of thirdgen.org and she'll apply the appropriate discounts.

Let's beat-up those 9 BOLTS!!

For those of you who can't see when someone is trying to help, I have no affiliation to Randy's Ring & Pinion. I haggled to get a good deal on the parts I purchased, and asked if they would pass it on to others who used thirdgen.org. She agreed and I passed the information on to everyone here. I was trying to do other Borg Warner owners a favor since for years we have been forced to pay way to much or couldn't find parts at all for Borg Warner Rears.

Hope this clarifies anyones concerns.

thanks for the heads up bud!!
my only problem is that i dont think they have the carriers there at randy's (ive looked) all i saw were gears and the only ratio they had was 3.73, which is good for me cuz thats what i want, but i need a carrier (3 series too)
thanks again!

These gears Randy's offers are a brand named Yukon. Great price, but I wonder if they are junk dumped on us by the chinese or mexico. I've never heard of them before, nor do I know anyone who's got any experience with them. They don't have the reputation that richmond, strange, us gear, and precision gear have.
They are a 3.70 ration (37 tooth ring/10 tooth pinion) not a true 3.73 as advertised.
Good Find!

Everything arrived today. Two day shipping for less then $20 dollars for everything.

I will be letting you know how it works out when the job is completed. I saved enough money that it was well worth giving a try. Fortunately, I already have a series 3 carrier. Busy weekend coming up.

Yes, the gears worked great. I replaced all gears bearings and seals. They will wine a little bit. They state that they are noisey in the packaging. Kind of like the Richmond gears.

Can you really feel the difference between what you had before and now having the 3.70s? Let me know.

Yes, there is definately a noticable difference. You need to match the gears with the appropriate engine mods to take full advantage. The difference also depends on what you currently have.

I'm not sure I would feel the same way a year ago when the same setup would have cost hundreds more.

and while your rear is apart, might as well by my posi shims and tighten your posi !!! no sense replacing the carrier $$$$, just shim the cones tighter and your posi will be better than new. and you can decide how tight you want it.

I've been out of town a bunch lately but am back now and will be getting caught up on emails the next few days. We were up at Tononto Motorsports Park getting some shake down runs in the new set up (the cuda, not the camaro).

To the IHRA followers, that is Mike Janis (2001 IHRA Pro Mod Champion) and Bob Jaus (Pro Mod Crew chief) helping us out with the new setup. The goal is to be the first in the 6's on a 10 1/2 inch tire at the World Street Nationals in Orlando. More info on the effort is at www.insanityracing.com

sure, give me $9000 for the rear, and I'll throw in the whole shebang. 89 all original formula, upgraded to 1LE specs, 60,000 miles. orig owner. I don't drive it much anymore anyway, it's just a garage queen now.

you'll be hardpressed to find a cleaner one, and orig.

As far as quality. Yukkon are actually very good gear sets, better quality then Richmond and have alot more felxability as fars as contaqct patterns. Richmond only gives a couple acceptable contact patterns Yukkon has 3 pages full of acceptable patterns much easyer for anyone and thier granmother to setup. My 14 bolt is setup with a Yukkon ring and pinion set.
