did any pre 89 3rd gen rearend come with 28 spline axles if someone has one they want to part with iam interested. also i have an 88 v6 car what is my ring gear size and what is the ring gear size of the v8 rear end or are they the same? thanks for any help.

 

No. No such thing as "features from the future".

They are the same; they are known as either 7½" or 7-5/8" 10-bolt; assuming that the V8 one you're talking about is a 10-bolt and not a 9-bolt which is 7.75" and not compatible internally with the 6-cyl.
