3rd gear coasting

Well here is the deal.....I just got done calibrating my governor so it would not stack shift at light loads. So now my overdrive dose not kick in at 30mph and it waits till about 40-43 and that is a good thing. But if I leave it in OD around town were it is below 40-43 when I let off the gas it seems to coast but if I drop it in 3rd when it is doing that it kicks in. When it is coasting in OD and I give it some gas it catches up with the tranny so I am not getting any type of slipping I am just wondering if that is normal or not???
