What disc are you guys running? I need one and I found an SLP one for 89.99. Anyone using it or know anything about it? Any recommendations? It doesn't need to be performance oriented as it will be behind my LO3. Thanks

I'm running a SPEC stage 3 and love it to death....but I'd be very surprised if you wanted to spend the $500 to put one behind the LO3.
I have a used stock disc layin around somewhere (got it with my tranny) that you can have for cheap if you want it.

J,
Isn't the SPEC Stage 3 an entire clutch assembly? I'm not too familiar with the way a T56 is set-up. Correct me if I'm wrong:
You have the pressure plate (on righthand side picture 2), then the clutch disc and then the flywheel (left side of picture 2). Am I missing something?

No, you're right. The SPEC clutch kit includes a pressure plate, a clutch disc, and a throwout bearing. They use a lightened LT4 pressure plate, and the Stage 3 uses a carbon (or ceramic if you ask for it) 4-puck sprung center disc. You might be able to get just the disc, but it's still more clutch than the LO3 needs (rated to like 600rwhp.) I was just throwing it out there because you asked what we were running.

I'm not too sure about condition as it's been kicking around my old closet at my Mom's house since I swapped in the 6-speed almost 3 years ago, but I'll give it ya for shipping plus $10 for digging it out, boxing it, and taking it to UPS. Mostly that's a labor charge for digging it out.
I know it's still useable or I wouldn't have kept it for an emergency spare.....I just don't know how much material is left on it.

The SLP part is a stock LT1 piece. I am running a McCleod heavy duty one right now. I like it much better. The disc was $120 and teh PSI plate was I think $269

. You said you have a stock disc laying around? What kind of condition is it in? How much do you want for it?
